The American Wild Horse Campaign says a lawsuit is being filed to stop the transfer of the Virginia Range horse to a private entity. Representatives from various horse advocate groups, and from the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, plan to make a major announcement Monday, taking action against the Nevada Department of Agriculture to prevent them from handing the horses over to a kill buyer, who will, in turn, sell them off to the slaughter.
