Roundup Report: Calico Complex, September 2022

 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Black Rock Field Office will begin a wild horse roundup on or about September 10, 2022, on the Calico Complex located northwest of Humboldt County, Nevada using the helicopter contractors, Cattoor Livestock.

Forest Service Calif. Wild Horse Roundup Starts in Modoc Nat’l Forest Despite Calls from Congress and Animal Welfare Groups

Roundup Report: South Steens HMA, September 2022

On or about September 10, 2022, the Bureau of Land Management will begin a roundup and removal of the famed South Steens wild horse herd in Oregon about 70 miles southwest of Burns. The agency is planning to remove approximately 500 horses with around 50 to be returned to the range, including up to 25 mares treated with Zonastat-H fertility control.

A Look Back: The Piceance Wild Horse Roundup

Earlier this summer, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) conducted the largest roundup in Colorado history in the Piceance-East Douglas Herd Management Area (HMA) near Meeker. According to BLM documents, the HMA was the site of 20  roundups between 1980 and 2017 - a telling example of BLM mismanagement.

Roundup Report: Triple B Complex Wild Horses, July 2022

In remote eastern Nevada, a familiar tragedy is unfolding. Government contracted helicopters are descending on vast, 1.6 million-acre expanse of public land known as the Triple B Complex, where thousands of wild horses live.
